Abstract:

The article discusses the concept of presenteeism. It states that presenteeism is a practice of coming to work when an individual should not due to stress, depression, illness, or other disorders. It is when employees are physically present at work but functionally absent, which result to the increase in potential errors and decrease of productivity. Details related to the impact of presenteeism to the nurses and ways on how to solve the issue are discussed.
