There is an extensive body of literature which supports various aspects of family-centered critical care.

There are studies and observational reports covering areas such as family involvement in care conferences, spirituality in the ICU, grief teams to support caregivers, family needs assessments.

Some of these are notes in the resources section of this site, and in time, we will highlight various studies as they pertain to this work.
